Bespoke Fitted Bedroom in Shoreham-by-Sea – Modern Storage & Media Wall

 We recently completed this bespoke fitted bedroom in Shoreham-by-Sea, designed to maximise storage while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic. The client wanted a space that felt minimal, functional, and high-end, with integrated storage solutions and a subtle colour palette that would stand the test of time. By carefully planning the layout and combining smart design with quality materials, we were able to completely transform the room into a stylish and practical living space.

The design focused on creating a seamless, clutter-free environment using a mix of handleless and handled furniture and full-height cabinetry. We installed floor-to-ceiling fitted wardrobes along one wall, paired with a bed surround unit that neatly frames the sleeping area while incorporating additional storage. This approach allows the room to feel balanced and open, while still providing plenty of usable space for clothing and everyday items. Every element was designed to work together, ensuring a cohesive and streamlined finish throughout.

For the materials, we used a combination of Egger U763 and Egger U960. The U960 offers a deeper, warmer grey tone, while the U763 provides a lighter contrast, creating a modern two-tone effect. This pairing adds subtle depth to the room without overpowering it, keeping the overall look soft, neutral, and contemporary. The matte finish enhances the premium feel of the furniture and works perfectly with the minimalist design approach.

A key feature of this bedroom is the use of push-to-open doors and drawers. By removing handles on some units, we achieved a clean and uninterrupted look across all units. This not only improves the overall appearance but also adds to the modern functionality of the space. The push-to-open system allows for smooth and easy operation while maintaining the sleek, handleless aesthetic the client was after.

In addition to the wardrobes, we also created a bespoke floating media unit with an integrated desk area. This feature adds versatility to the room, allowing it to function as both a relaxing bedroom and a practical workspace. The wall-mounted TV creates a strong focal point, while the floating cabinets help keep the floor space clear and uncluttered. The desk area blends seamlessly into the design, finished in the same Egger U763 and U960 combination to tie everything together.

The brief was to deliver a clean, contemporary feature that would house the TV, incorporate a fireplace, and provide practical shelving – all while maintaining a seamless and minimalist finish.

The design centres around a fully fitted media wall with open shelving on either side of the TV, creating a balanced and symmetrical look. The shelving provides plenty of space for display items, while the lower cabinetry offers hidden storage to keep the room clutter-free. By designing the unit wall-to-wall, we achieved a high-end, built-in finish that feels fully integrated into the space.

For this project, we used Egger U608 Pistachio Green, a subtle yet distinctive colour that adds warmth and character without overpowering the room. This modern finish works perfectly in contemporary homes across Worthing, pairing effortlessly with neutral interiors to create a calm and sophisticated look.

To maintain the clean lines of the design, we installed push-to-open doors on all lower cabinets. This handleless approach enhances the minimalist aesthetic while ensuring smooth, practical use in everyday life. The result is a sleek and uninterrupted finish across the entire media wall.

A standout feature of this bespoke media wall is the integrated LED lighting throughout the shelving. At the centre of the unit, we installed an EzeeGlow electric fire, positioned directly beneath the wall-mounted TV. This creates a strong focal point while adding a cosy element to the room.
